The Women’s Building participated in the NYC Pride March for the first time on June 25! Our community joined thousands of proud New Yorkers marching for continued progress toward equality and celebrated love in all forms.

On May 8, our Advisory Circle gathered to learn about the progress of The Women’s Building and to provide valuable feedback on the evolution process as it moves toward its new design. We also welcomed five new members whose perspectives complement the dynamic team helping to shape the direction of this project.

On April 19, the NoVo Foundation and Equality Now hosted a panel discussion to celebrate New York City women and The Women's Building at Google’s office in Chelsea. The evening was inspired by Julie Scelfo’s book, The Women Who Made New York. Julie moderated a panel of women's rights leaders from a variety of industries as they discussed how women have influenced—and continue to influence—this city.

Mark your calendars now! The Women's Building will once again welcome the whole city to join its annual block party on Saturday, September 23, 2017 from 12-6pm on West 20th Street between 10th and 11th Avenues. Featuring live performances, community art projects, kids’ activities, food and drink vendors led by women (including formerly-incarcerated women), and more, this family-friendly event is a chance to learn more about The Women's Building, meet other members of our community, and imagine our future together.
